Reservations
The Sacramento Hostel welcomes walk-in guests at any time of the year but advance reservations are recommended, especially for travelers who want private accommodations or who have special needs.

Click on the link above and you will be directed to the Hostelling International USA website for online reservations. Please note that private rooms cannot be booked online. For private room reservations, please book by phone (see below).
Please also note that HI-USA requires a 5% deposit and a $3 booking fee for online reservations.

Hours
The Sacramento Hostel is open 24 hours to guests who have checked in.
Reservations and reception hours are 7:30 a.m. - 10:30 p.m.
The hostel is open daily year-round.
Check-in/Check-out
Check-in hours are 2:00 - 10:30 p.m. Early baggage check is available.
Check-out hours are 7:30 - 11 a.m.
Adults must provide a valid government-issued picture identification card (passport, driver's license, or state or military ID card) to stay at the Sacramento Hostel.
Payment
We accept cash, travelers checks, VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and JCB.
A credit card is required to make a reservation, but during the check-in process you may choose to pay for your accommodations with cash or travelers checks instead.
Cancellation policy
If you need to cancel or change your reservation, at least 24 hours advance notice is required. If a cancellation is made without 24 hours notice, or if you do not arrive on the reserved date, your credit card will be charged for one night's accommodation per person, and any additional nights reserved will be cancelled. (For groups, a different cancellation policy applies.)
