Groups of 10 or More

To check availability or make a reservation, please use our Group Request Form. Or call us toll-free at 1 (877) GO-HOSTEL (1 (877) 464-6783). Our group booking office is open weekdays from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

As the only lodging available within Point Reyes National Seashore, we welcome a wide range of groups to our rustic retreat in a pristine coastal wilderness. Both overnight accommodations and meeting/event space are available, and we often host groups of friends and family as well as professional, social, and religious organizations for retreats, workshops, reunions, weddings, and other special events. Our hostel is also a popular destination for school and youth groups(many visit as part of a Hostel Adventure program).

Any 10 or more people visiting the hostel together are considered a group. We can accommodate groups of up to 40 people on weekdays. On weekends and holidays, the maximum group size is normally 20, but up to 40 people may be accommodated with permission of the hostel manager.

Group Facilities

Group accommodations are available in two of our buildings, the historic Ranch House and the Bunkhouse. Groups who want to maximize privacy can rent the entire Bunkhouse (for up to 20 people), or both the Bunkhouse and the Ranch House (for up to 40 people). Both houses have large common rooms (with beautiful park views) that can be used for meeting space.

For outdoor events -- aside from the wilderness at your doorstep -- we have a patio with barbecue and picnic area with umbrella tables. We also have a fully equipped, self-serve kitchen where groups can prepare meals. Note: You'll need to bring groceries. The nearest point of contact with civilization is the tiny town of Point Reyes Station, which does have some fine dining options, but is several miles away.

Night Hikes

Enhance your trip with a guided night hike led by a professional naturalist. Watch the sunset with 360-degree views of the dramatic cliffs and the coast, then venture without flashlights through twilight and darkness, relying on other senses to experience the world around you. Smell the eucalyptus and the salt air. Listen to the frogs chirping, seals barking, and waves breaking on the beach. You'll encounter nocturnal animals and (depending on time of year) you may see bio-luminescent marine life or a full moon. Your naturalist can tailor your hike to your interests with interpretive information about stars, plants, wildlife, and habitat, or by leading sensory-awareness exercises.

Night hikes are two hours long, and are available nightly from 4 :00 – 10:00 p.m. Cost is $10 per person. Hikes must be arranged in advance, at the same time that you reserve your group's overnight accommodations.

Youth Programs

We offer Hostel Adventure programming to youth and student groups, including Outdoor Hostel Adventure, Travel 101, and Girl Scouts badge work.
