The Point Reyes Hostel welcomes a wide range of groups to its secluded valley in the Point Reyes National Seashore, two miles from the Pacific Ocean. The only lodging available within the national park, the hostel offers a rustic retreat in a pristine coastal wilderness.
Both overnight accommodations and meeting/event space are available, and the hostel frequently hosts groups of friends and family as well as professional, social, and religious organizations for retreats, workshops, reunions, weddings, and other special events.
The hostel is also a popular destination for school and youth groups, many of whom take advantage of the range of outdoor and intercultural activities provided by our Hostel Adventure Programs staff.
The hostel provides shared accommodations in two buildings, the historic Ranch House and the Bunkhouse.
Groups of all sizes from 8 to 40 can be accommodated overnight.
The hostel has two rooms with beautiful park views available for meetings, workshops, or events. For outdoor events, aside from the surrounding wilderness, groups can take advantage of the patio with picnic tables and barbecue.
The hostel has a fully equipped kitchen and dining room, as well as a patio with picnic tables and barbecue.
Groups will need to bring their own groceries to prepare. The nearest point of contact with civilization is the small town of Point Reyes Station, which does have some fine dining options, but is several miles away.
Tailored programming is available to youth and student groups, from outdoor wilderness adventures to intercultural activities like World Travel 101, Cultural Kitchen, the Community Walls mural project, and Girl Scouts badge work. For details, please see the Programs section of the Golden Gate Council website.
