Documentary Friday Goes Hostelling
August 28
Every week, the Redwood National Park Hostel hosts "Documentary Fridays" in the common room, showing environmental and travel-focused nonfiction films.
On August 28, the hostel presents an evening of hostel-themed documentaries, in honor of the 100th anniversary of the hostelling movement (and the 75th anniversary of Hostelling International USA).
The program begins with What is a Hostel? a short video featuring oral histories by older hostellers, and A Map for Saturday, the story a 20-something who quits his lucrative job for HBO to travel the world.
Free coffee and tea are provided, so pop some popcorn in the kitchen and settle in for a quiet evening at this cozy hostel.
