Many people remember the first time they hugged a giant redwood, encountered a banana slug, or glimpsed the Pacific Ocean. For some, these are travel memories -- but for a lot of Californians, those first-time experiences happen through outdoor education.
Catch up with Community Walls this July to see the outcome of our first summer partnership with the San Francisco Boys and Girls Club (Excelsior District) and Harvey Milk Civil Rights Academy. We have art receptions planned for July 26 and 27 to celebrate the work of our young artists.
Students from Harvey Milk Civil Rights Academy and the Excelsior Boys and Girls Club will unveil new Community Walls murals in public receptions, February 16 and March 7. Both will be held at the San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf Hostel and are open to the public.
