Get baseball tickets for a steal: Giants and A’s offer seats at out-of-the-ballpark prices
Posted by admin on Apr 13, 2009

With bats swinging and balls soaring through the air, fans know that baseball season is just getting underway. America’s national pastime is your chance to sit back, crack some peanuts, and spend your summer days and nights cheering with thousands of other fans.
Both the San Francisco Giants and the Oakland A’s are offering some great ticket deals throughout the season.
San Francisco Giants
The San Francisco Giants are selling $10 View Reserved Outfield tickets for all regular games on Monday through Thursday nights, as well as select weekend games (more than 30 games in total). These seats are located above left field and include a panoramic view of the San Francisco Bay. For an even greater steal, you can purchase standing room in the outfield bleachers or upper deck, which typically costs between $5 and $7.
If you’re looking to take home a souvenir, consider purchasing $20 packages, which are available on selected dates and include admission and a special themed giveaway. For example, on May 15 celebrate Japanese Heritage Night, with a $20 package including pre-game party, game ticket (vs. NY Mets), a Giants-themed sake set, and five free sake samples. These packages are only available online, and it is recommended that you purchase in advance.
AT&T Park
Located along the Embarcadero with spectacular views of the San Francisco Bay, AT&T Park is a 43,000-seat open-air stadium that was chosen as the 2008 Sports Facility of the Year. Check out the "Splash Hit" counter along the right field wall, which keeps tracks of balls that end up in the water. Easily reached by public transit: MUNI Metro N or T line, or MUNI bus 10, 30, 45, or 47.
Oakland A’s
A short trip across the Bay, the Oakland Athletics are also offering hot ticket deals just in time for summer, including $2 admission and $1 hot dogs every Wednesday. These tickets are located in the Plaza Level, Outfield, or Reserved sections. Act fast, because these seats are sure to sell out quickly!
If you’re looking for a Friday night of fun, consider the A’s Friday Family Pack. Open to any group of 4 fans (related or not), the Family Pack includes: 4 Plaza Level tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 medium drinks, and 4 bags of peanuts — all for $50. That’s only $12.50 a person!
Finally, if you miss out on the above deals, $9 Plaza Reserved and $13 bleacher seats are available all season long.
Oakland Coliseum
The A’s have been playing at the 35,000-seat open-air Oakland Coliseum for more than 40 years. The Coliseum recently underwent a $120 million restoration, and is extremely easy to reach via public transit. Take BART from downtown San Francisco to the Coliseum station, and walk directly across the elevated walkway into the stadium.
