Outdoor Hostel Adventures: Locations

Outdoor Hostel Adventures are available at the following Hostelling International hostels, all based in coastal State or National Parks:

Marin Headlands Hostel

Outdoor Hostel Adventure participants who select the Marin Headlands Hostel as their base will explore the Marin Headlands, part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.

In addition, trips to the Marine Mammal Center and/or mountain bike rides through Trips for Kids may be added to your Outdoor Hostel Adventure itinerary, with advance arrangements.

Point Montara Lighthouse Hostel
Point Montara Light Station State Historic Park
San Mateo County, California

Outdoor Hostel Adventure participants who select the Point Montara Lighthouse Hostel as their base will explore the beaches and tidepools of the Point Montara Light Station State Historic Park, as well as Mount Montara at Montara State Beach.

An additional trip to the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve may be added to your Outdoor Hostel Adventure itinerary, with advance arrangements.

Outdoor Hostel Adventure participants who select the Point Reyes Hostel as their base will explore the Point Reyes National Seashore.

Service Learning Projects
Service learning projects teach students about the joys of volunteering and illustrate creative ways to give back to the local community. Projects like exotic plant removal, native plant care, and beach clean-ups also benefit the State and National Parks where the hostels are based.
