The City of San Francisco has a lot to celebrate this summer. In addition to the 75th anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco's longest running music festival is also commemorating its 75th year. Since 1938, the Stern Grove Festival has presented a wide variety of local and international performing artists in the idyllic setting of Sigmund Stern Grove, a natural amphitheater surrounded by eucalyptus trees.
Visitors to San Francisco during summer are often surprised to find cool and foggy weather. Where's that famous California sunshine?
No tour-van necessary for these three adventurous San Francisco folk bands! They're strapping their fiddles, guitars, cello, camping gear, and CDs onto their backs, and walking down the California Coastal Trail from show to show -- starting at the Bolinas Community Center, then performing at Slide Ranch in Muir Beach, and ending with a final concert at the Marin Headlands Hostel.
