Old-Fashioned Independence Day

Old-Fashioned Independence Day

Visit Wilder Ranch on July 4 and take a step 100 years back in time to participate in a 1911-style Independence Day celebration. There'll be a family parade at noon, games, a children's crafts area, live big-band music, living history demonstrations, historic speeches, and a flag ceremony.

Take a break from the day's events and enjoy lunch on the lawn (food and drink will be for sale, or bring your own picnic), then check out the rest of the state park and cultural preserve, including a heritage garden and farm animal area, historic ranch buildings, Ben Lomond Mountain, and Wilder Ranch State Beach.
