Golden Gate Council recognizes and thanks the many individuals who individually or through their company contributed artistic and intellectual talent to make NorCalHostels.org an online resource for budget travelers.
Project Coordination: A staff-led development team served as the inspiration for the partner sites and gathered top-notch vendors to take the concept and make it a reality:
Jeanne Comaskey, director of San Francisco operations; Patrick Rafferty, general manager of HI-SF City Center; Tasha Nesbitt; former staff members Niki Borofsky and Stephanie Ross; and former marketing intern Sylvia Behrmann. Molly Mitoma completed the site architecture by developing a content hierarchy for the umbrella site, NorCalHostels.org.
Development, Engineering and Hosting: DigiLava, Inc., a San Francisco-based application service provider specializing in rich media campaigns, integrated an HTML-based interface and database functionality into our pre-existing design concept and collateral. The firm’s intellectual property used to power the site and its role as DNS and Web site host will enable the Golden Gate Council to leverage and strengthen the Hostelling International brand through permission-based e-marketing campaigns. A special thank you goes to Boaz Yung, VP of Operations.
Design Concept: The Engine Room, for developing the skin for the three San Francisco hostel Web sites later used to influence the NorCalHostels.org upgrade.
Search Engine: Our Search page utilizes proprietary technology from PicoSearch.
