Marin Art Festival

Location: Lagoon Park near the Marin Civic Center (off of Highway 101), San Rafael
This year’s theme pretty much sums up this popular festival: Art, Wine, Jazz and Crab Cake. Each year nearly 250 arts and crafts displays, live music and gourmet food stands are featured at this two-day art festival.

North Beach Festival

Location: Grant Ave. and Washington Square Park (1200-1500 blocks), San Francisco
San Francisco's original street fair is among its best because the Italian heritage and Beat generation history in North Beach influence the offerings: Live music ranging from jazz to salsa, street chalk art displays and other urban crafts and cooking demonstrations with al fresco foods.

San Francisco Pride Celebration and Pride Parade

Location: Castro, Civic Center and all over San Francisco
The city's 34th annual celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender pride culminates with a colorful parade down Market Street and a celebration festival at Civic Center with live entertainment and more than 300 exhibitors.

Pier 39 Fourth of July Waterfront Festival

San Francisco Jewish Film Festival

Japantown Summer Festival and Obon Odori Festival
