Press Room

Hostelling International USA (HI USA), is a nonprofit, member organization founded on the enduring belief in the power of travel to foster a deeper understanding of people, places and the world. With a network of more than 50 hostels across the United States, HI USA is the nation’s leading hostel brand and hosts over a million overnight guests from more than 100 countries.

Here in the Northwest region we offer top-notch budget accommodation in unique locations – from stately lighthouse to National Parks, busy city centers to remote coastal locales – to travelers of all ages, cultures and backgrounds, including individuals, families and groups.

As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, HI USA is dedicated to not only providing affordable accommodations for all, but also to offering educational programs in an effort to promote intercultural interactions, environmental stewardship and world peace through travel.

Our organization is part of Hostelling International (HI), a collection of more than 4,000 hostels in 80 countries, whose roots stretch back to the beginning of the hostelling movement more than 100 years ago. Today, the HI seal is a guarantee of exceptional service, cleanliness and security.
