On July 21, the Redwood National Park Hostel celebrates 20 years welcoming travelers to the rugged north coast of California, and the 100th anniversary of the historic DeMartin home where the hostel is based. Please join us from 2 p.m. to sunset for an anniversary party featuring live music, tasty food, and honored guests and speakers. Bring a sweater, a friend, and stories or photos for the Redwood Hostel Oral History Project.
The Point Reyes Hostel and the Redwood National Park Hostel are both pleased to announce that they have expanded their hours to offer day access to guests, through October 31. Registered guests will have access to the hostels at any time of the day, to have lunch, peruse the library, or enjoy the hostel common areas. These expanded hours apply every day of the week at the Redwood Hostel, and on Saturdays and Sundays at the Point Reyes Hostel.
Summertime and the livin' is easy--and free, thanks to more than 300 al fresco performances and film screenings in parks around the city. Join the locals and head outdoors for live music under the San Francisco sun, and screenings under the stars.
For the first time in 13 years, the Whaler's Cove beach adjacent to the Pigeon Point Lighthouse Hostel is again accessible to the public, thanks to years of effort by the Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST).
